Word of the World II - October, 5,
Dear friends:
**October, 5, Poetry Festival begins in Bento Gonçalves, La Habana , “Word of the World”.
This year we are developing the idea: “Word of the World II” in three stages. First was the international day of poetry on March 21, then was on May 30 to mark the International Poetry Festival in La Habana. Now we support Brazil.
The idea is simple, we can not go, we met at some space, which can be a house, a cafe, a theater, a hall, a school…we read poetry as if we were participating in Congreso.This requires coordination, organize, advertise ...
We are also working the idea that emerged in Ayacucho for the Festival at The atmosphere of clouds, conducted by SOUTH Ayacucho. In a school of Quinoa is read poetry to children, they made a drawing with what they suggested the poem, these works were exchanged with other schools after that time did the same.
Since Ribeirao Preto begins the initiative to resume this work in schools, we call Cultural Exchange Inter schools. There are 22 courses envolved.
Now, we want conclude poets, professors, teachers, send the call, explaining that this is read poetry, that students make a drawing or a composition that teachers devote one hour of classes that give this day to reading poetry, also writing in the classroom.
Each part of the world is transformed into a meeting where they read poetry, sharing poetry. In a bar or a theater, the square, a street or university, a cultural center, literary workshop, a large kitchen, a park on the seafront, where possible every poet must convene people, other poets, other artists, and share poetry.
The resistance of poetry may be possible. The experiences of previous word in the world tells us that it is possible. Only requires the willingness of each to conduct a meeting.
